Kestrel/ "Siefried, thy fathers warr'd / With many a kestrel, mimicking the dove."/ pg. 217 / The kestrel belongs to the Falcon family, and is found all over Europe, Africa, Asia, and the east coast of North America. While not large in stature (it's a bird of prey), it is larger than the average song bird. It's approximately the same size as a pigeon.
